Had a little hiccup in weight loss yesterday… I actually GAINED .8 pounds. I knew what it was though… The night before I ate a large steak BBQ’ed by the Bf and it was late in the evening… I’m sure it still weighed on me the morning after. Moving on.
Yesterday I was in unfamiliar territory where I had to grab something quick to eat in a hurry and get back to work for an appointment. my choices were TacoBell: nothing hCG compatible / Applebee’s: no time / Subway: over it / Panda Express: hmmmm I wonder. So I went in with HOPES they had something I can make due with. Rice and chow mien were COMPLETELY out of the question. Everything besides the steamed veggies seemed to be cover with some sort of carb and calorie filled gravy of some sort. So my last option was to just start looking at the calories. Beef and Broccoli only had 190 calories per serving! So… That’s what I got.. A medium side of B&B for a total of about 380 calories. It will have to do. When eating out gets easier… The diet gets easier. I skipped dinner since I already was pretty much at my calorie limit for the day and had an orange and Melba toast instead… BTW: navel oranges are SO juicy right now!! *drool*

VLCD Day 11: My entire day was eating out. Sometimes that’s just where the day leads. Started with coffee from Starbucks in the a.m. (Black 2 sweet n low) Then came Lunch…El Pollo Loco grilled chicken salad (nix the tortilla strips, corn, and cheese) covered in pico de gallo and chili roja salsa. I had a diet soda also (a treat to myself) followed by dinner with the BF at TGI Fridays. Started with a shared shrimp cocktail for appetizer… for the main course I had a petite sirloin with double broccoli hold the butter. I also had 2 rum and diet cokes with dinner :) once on a while this is okay…. Just don’t make a habit of it.
All my clothes that I had to dig out of the closet (because my smaller clothes were beginning not to fit me again) are starting to become loose on me again. My BF even mentoned that my pants look baggy around the behind area and they aren’t hugging my curves like they usually do… (obviously I know what HE was looking at as I was walking away ;) ) Now for the fun part…stats.
4/20/2012: Yesterday’s WI: 183.6 / Today’s WI 182.4 / -1.2 from previous day / -10.6 from round start / -79.8 from heaviest / +21.4 from lowest.
Did I forget to post yesterday? or did I post wrong? bleh… oh well.
Believe it or not.. It IS possible to eat out while on Phase 2 of the hCG protocol (and still lose) This was yesterday at a fast food restaurant that I frequent when I work in San Bernardino. Yes, it is not as tasty as a juicy hamburger, fries, and a soda.. but it’s fuel for my body, and is what is helping me continue to lose weight… even better, inches.
I won’t lie… this shit is H.A.R.D. … when my stomach is grumbling and I am out and about with the BF, or getting my daughter food… sometimes I just wanna say EF IT and eat a hamburger, or burrito, or.. (you get my drift) but then I have to say to myself “Amber… ____ more days, you will be skinnier, healthier, happier… keep focus” .. and ya know what? It works. I haven’t gave in to temptation and I’m proud of myself.. and the scale is rewarding me accordingly.
So today I lost 1.6 pounds! (WOOHOO!) NICE loss. which brings me down to 183.6 (creeping out of the 180’s!) but even MORE importantly.. this morning I took my measurements and I am down 1 inch in my waist, 2 inches in my hips, and 1 inch in my thigh!!! (and this after not even 10 pounds!) this is exciting.. and keeps me motivated.

Came across this photo from back in 2008. I had JUST started to do any attempts of losing weight. I don’t even think I was still at my highest at this point. God willing I will never see this again.
I have the tools… I know what I have to do to keep it down. Today want a very good weigh in… But what do ya do right? Give up? HELL NO! I just tighten my eating up. Today I didn’t eat anything off protocol so hoping for a bit larger weight loss tomorrow.

Day 6: Nice loss today! Didn’t know what to expect because last night I had 3 shots of vodka mixed in seltzer water. I tested my ketones in the middle of the night and it wasn’t showing trace… But when I woke up and tested again I was still in ketosis.
Usually 3 shots of vodka would just give me a slight buzz, but eating only 500 calories a day I was pretty buzzed after just the first drink! So you can imagine how I was feeling after 3.
Truth be told I didn’t eat dinner last night. I did eat my apple and Melba Toast, but was out and about until late after drinks and just didn’t feel like trying to figure out something to eat. Wasn’t hungry, but I know I should NOT do this, and I don’t on a regular basis.
Had a Starbucks coffee this morning that gave me a stomach ache, asked for one cream and the coffee tasted real thick. Wasn’t good at all…bleck. So now I am spending my day off lounging on the couch watching a ”Sex and the City” marathon waiting for my stomach to feel better so I can start cleaning this damn house. :)

I took a chance and ate something completely off protocol (but still very close to it) last night for dinner. Nicole and I went to San Bernardino to see my mom in the hospital and stopped for dinner at BJ’s afterwords. We made the best possible decision we could giving our options. We had the Chicken A La Fresca which is on their 575 calorie or less menu. It comes with Rice pilaf which we nixed and added more veggies. it was drizzled with a light Dijon tarragon jus and tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Let me tell you it was SO good! Maybe TOO good because I had a bad feeling about today’s weigh in. The only things that weren’t on protocol was the mushrooms, squash, and carrots (I didn’t eat the carrots) and the dressing. So all in all.. not too bad.
I woke up feeling quite a bit lighter today.. my stomach feels like it is already shrinking and doesn’t feel as full all the time. I don’t feel as bloaty also. I can SEE it in my stomach already in the mirror. It is a good feeling. Not eating all the sugars, heavy fats and proccessed foods really does make all the difference in the world when it comes to your well being. I wish I could get this through my thick head when I’m NOT on protocol. Someday I’ll learn.

Not the biggest loss I have had, but I can’t say I’m surprised. Acutally, I am surprised I lost anything this weigh in. :)
So lets be real… I gained a bit and not too happy about it but I’m here to fix it. So now for the boring stuff…stats.
My beginning weigh in for this round: 193 lbs :/
My all time lowest was 161… (32 pound gain… yikes)
My all time highest was 262.2 (-69.2 pounds loss)

I hate these numbers… but it’s a necessity to broadcast them.. keep me accountable. Hopefully we can see big changes this round. I will post my post gorge weight tomorrow.

So yeah… I have been MIA…
I only lost 12 pounds this round… can’t say I’m completely surprised. Being that I am close to goal, new EVERYTHING in life kinda got in my way (including the new BF). It’s hard to not want to go out to eat with him, I did manage to keep the side tracking to a minimum (not weighing, and eating veggies that weren’t quite on protocol where my main infractions)… but hey whatever.
I also officially ended my VLCD part of the round about 2 (but slacking off before that) days early just because the scale wasn’t budging! To tell you the truth, I think I lost most (or all) the weight in the first 2 weeks! (perhaps because I’m close to goal?) I dunno.
I’m also semi disappointed with the stabilizing thus far. 5 pounds up from my end (and only 5 days in!) once again.. my fault. I won’t get into the logistics. But, needless to say, I am doing a “steak day” today to push some of that down again. MY FAULT MY FAULT MY FAULT! I won’t let this get to me though… just time to get back focused!
On the plus side… I joined the gym again! I’ve been already 2 days within the past 3 days of being a member. I hope to tone some of this up… It’s not BAD.. but it can be improved :) I’ve been wearing lots of strapless dresses and shirts and feeling great about it! Also, I have been attempting to wear shorter dresses (sometimes with leggings and once without) with the leggings I feel good… still not too sure of without. I think I need to get a tan before i attempt that again.. LOL.

I know what I’m doing.. now to just put it all to work.

Weight loss is a little slower then usual… But I expected this. It’s also “that time of the month” so…. Yeeeeah.
Thus far, it has been the easiest round. I’m not feeling at all deprived or hungry. I got so busy yesterday I forgot to cook dinner, so I just had an apple and a melba toast and called it a night.
Day 3 weigh in ~ 174.4 (+1.4 lbs from R4 Starting weight of 173)

During Gorge I GAINED about 8 pounds!!! I did something right because I am not hungry in the least bit as of yet. :D I don’t even feel like I’m REALLY on this diet… Woohoo!
My bloat from the gorge is almost gone and I’m almost down to my R4 starting weight!
It works… IF YOU WORK IT!!!!!
